钙视网膜蛋白(CR)是一种钙结合蛋白，具有缓冲钙浓度、调控神经信号传导、参与激素合成等功能。临床上，CR已应用于多种肿瘤的诊断中，例如：CR是恶性间皮瘤的重要标志物，可用于胸腺上皮样间皮瘤(+)与肺腺癌(-)的鉴别中。同时，CR在肾上腺的皮质肿瘤中的阳性率要高于良性嗜铬细胞瘤而可用于辅助区分。并且，CR可表达于睾丸的支持细胞瘤、间质细胞瘤、颗粒细胞瘤等性索-间质肿瘤中，但在部分精原细胞瘤中亦呈阳性；同样，CR可存在于卵巢的性索-间质肿瘤中，但在部分上皮性肿瘤中存在表达，且与肿瘤的增殖、转移和复发相关。另外，CR在先天性巨结肠的神经节和神经纤维中的表达水平与正常肠道相比显著下降，具体机制尚不明确。
