[Intended Use]
with for formalin-fixed , paraffin-embedded tissue sectionsimmunohistochemicalbefore staining Antigen Retrieval, enhance immunohistochemicalexperiment staining results.
Test Summary and Description
During tissue processing, chemical reagents mask antigens and heat distorts some antigen peptide chains, preventing display during IHC staining. Antigen retrieval uses chemical and heat treatment to re-expose or restore these antigens.Citrate, EDTAor Tris etc. buffers in heat conditions can unmask formalin-blocked antigens re-exposed ,without damaging antigen epitopes .thereby improving antigen detection rate, ,reducing background staining, ,improving diagnostic accuracy.
in heat-induced Antigen Retrievalbefore the advent of ,Trypsin, proteinenzyme KPepsin enzymes induced epitope retrieval was a common with method.Pepsin antigen retrieval solution exposes antigen epitopes in paraffin sections, greatly improving immunostaining.Paraffin sections usually require antigen retrieval; frozen sections may not. Antigen retrieval improves paraffin section staining and can also improve frozen section staining. Consider retrieval when frozen section results are unsatisfactory.
