INI-1

Integrase Interactor-1 (INI-1) is one of the core protein subunits of the ATP dependent chromosome remodeling complex SWI/SNF, which is widely expressed in the nucleus of normal cells. Under normal conditions, INI-1 can induce chromosome conformational changes, expose nucleosome DNA binding sites and promote transcription factor binding, thereby regulating gene expression and participating in the cell proliferation and apoptosis. In addition, INI-1 can inhibit abnormal proliferation by regulating the cell cycle, which has tumor suppressive effects. Oncological research has shown that abnormal deletion of INI-1 can seriously affect the activity of SWI/SNF complex, leading to uncontrolled gene expression and ultimately causing cellular carcinogenesis. At present, it has been found that INI-1 has expression deletion in various tumors such as malignant rhabdoid tumor, epithelioid sarcoma, epithelioid schwannoma, poor differentiated chordoma, and Synovial sarcoma, which has important diagnostic value. Especially, it can be applied in the differential diagnosis of rhabdomyosarcoma (+) and malignant rhabdoid tumor (-).
