CD45RO is a subtype of CD45 that can promote the production of memory T cells by regulating the phosphorylation status of Src family kinases, providing long-term and potent immune protection for the body. In clinical practice, CD45RO can assist in distinguishing between T lymphoma and B lymphoma, but its expression has been found in some diffuse large B cell lymphoma and follicular lymphoma, speculated that CD45RA in B cells may abnormally transform into CD45RO upon stimulation. Meanwhile, in lung cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, endometrial cancer and other tumors, the expression level of CD45RO is negatively correlated with tumor malignancy, which is because CD45RO+ T cells can inhibit tumor growth by regulating the production of IL-2, IFN-γ, TNF-α and other cytokines, and hinder lymph node metastasis of cancer cells through some mechanism. In summary, the high infiltration of CD45RO+ T cells suggests the high antitumor activity of the body, indicating that CD45RO has good reference value for prognostic evaluation of various tumors.
