D2-40

D2-40 is a monoclonal antibody that can specifically label carcinoembryonic antigen M2A in lymphatic endothelial cells without cross reactivity with vascular endothelial cells. In clinical practice, D2-40 can be used for the diagnosis of lymphangiogenic tumors such as lymphangioma and lymphatic hygroma, but it can also be expressed in some vascular tumors such as angiokeratoma, angiosarcoma, and Kaposi's sarcoma, speculated that some tumor components originate from lymphatic vessels. In addition, in lung cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer and other tumors, the up-regulation of microlymphatic vessel density (MLVD) based on D2-40 staining indicates that the increased risk of metastasis, which may be because the loose structure of microlymphatic vessels facilitates the entry of cancer cells. In addition, D2-40 shows diffuse positivity in intratubular germ cell neoplasm and seminoma, which makes it useful for subtyping diagnosis of testicular tumors. Its positivity rate in malignant mesothelioma is also significantly higher than that in lung adenocarcinoma, which helps to assist in differentiation.
